Help Us Restore Glenroyd House – A Safe Space for Our Community

Glenroyd House is more than just a building; it is a lifeline for many people in our community. As a local charity, we provide support to individuals and families facing financial hardship through our community pantry, food parcels, café, support groups, wellbeing activities, and a safe, welcoming place where people can connect, find help, and feel they belong.

Every week, Glenroyd House welcomes older residents, families with children, people living with disabilities, volunteers, and individuals accessing vital support services, including mental health, addiction recovery, sexual health services, craft groups, bingo sessions, and new youth activities for local children.

Unfortunately, our car park is now in a very poor state of repair. Potholes, uneven surfaces, and drainage issues are making access increasingly difficult and, in places, unsafe, particularly for elderly visitors, wheelchair users, parents with prams, and those already facing challenges.

We have received a quote of £16,000 to repair and resurface the car park fully, ensuring safe access for everyone who relies on Glenroyd House.

We are incredibly grateful that Councillor Sandra Grindley has kindly donated £2,000 towards this project, giving us a fantastic start, but we still need to raise £14,000.

That’s why we are asking for your help.

Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help us make Glenroyd House safer, more accessible and ready to continue serving our community for years to come.

Whether you can donate £5, £20, or simply share our story or click the button below, you will be helping protect a place that means so much to so many.

Please help us rebuild our car park and keep Glenroyd House open, accessible, and welcoming for all.

Thank you for supporting our community.

Together, we can make this happen.
