Our Mission
Our mission is to keep Glenroyd House open and protect it from rising costs. This 50+ room community building includes a community café, fitness room, community pantry, warm space and areas for local charities, NHS clinics, support groups and community activities.
We provide food parcels, meals, friendship, exercise, advice and practical help for local people, including those who are lonely, struggling financially, unwell or in need of support. We aim to manage the building carefully, reduce costs, raise funds and work with partners, volunteers and the local community to secure its future.
Glenroyd House is a safe and welcoming place where people can meet, stay active, eat well, access services and feel valued. Our motto is: “The only time we look down on someone is when we are helping them up.”
By keeping Glenroyd House open, we protect vital services and ensure our community has a place to come together, receive help and support one another for many years to come.
